HOW CAN I HELP?
FAQ'S
For information about my fine art prints, products, or your order.
No. Signing the work limits how you might want to have it matted and framed.
Instead, each of my fine art prints comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity, that verifies its origin and myself as the artist. This gives it value and identifies it as a finished, sellable piece of work.
The certificate can be easily mounted onto the back of the framed print by the framer.
All of my images are printed on quality fine art Hahnemuhle and Ilford papers.
The papers I use are chosen to individually suit each image.
My favourites are:
Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Satin - this has a delicate structure that reproduces colours and details with a beautiful soft feel and three-dimensional quality.
Ilford Galerie Fine Art Smooth Pearl - similar to the Photo Rag Satin, this paper produces stunning contrast and sharpness, with a slight surface texture and subtle sheen
To complete the process, I print using the best Epson technology and ultrachrome inks for fine art prints.
Due to the high risk of damage when shipping framed prints, all fine are prints are delivered as loose prints.
This also allows you to select the perfect frame from a local supplier to suit your decor.
Your fine art print will likely arrive loosely rolled and packaged in a protective shipping/postal tube.
You will likely be excited about opening your package to see the artwork, however, the print can easily be damaged by touching it, by edges/other surfaces sliding together or placing other objects on top of it. Once damaged or marked it isn’t possible to repair it.
I recommend the following to avoid damaging the print:
- Wash your hands before touching the print and if possible wear clean white cotton gloves designed for handling art. The gloves will minimise the risk of oils being transferred to the print from your fingers/hands. The print will likely be curled after being in the tube and should preferably be stored flat.
- Carefully unroll the print, holding it with both hands and making sure the back of the print is supported so as not to bend it.
- Lay it face down on the tissue that comes with the print on a clean flat surface, gently cover it with another sheet of protective paper and hold down the corners of the print with some books for about 24 hours.
- Matt and frame your Fine Art Print as soon as possible.
* Remember, you can always take your print straight to a professional framer without opening it; they are familiar with how to handle artwork without damaging it.
Any piece of artwork that you purchase is an investment and intended to add to the beauty of your home’s décor.
Taking care of your print ensures you and your family, and even future generations, are able to get long-term enjoyment from it.
Protect your print by having it professionally mounted and framed, as soon as possible after arrival, using archival materials and processes to ensure a long life. I recommend using non-reflective/museum, UV filtering glass and archival/acid-free materials in the framing process. The addition of matting will allow the print to sit away from the glass preventing damage to the print surface.
Avoid hanging your print in places with direct sunlight, humid bathrooms, or above a stove or sink in kitchens. Print stability will depend on how it is handled, framed and the display conditions, including light intensity, humidity, temperature or pollution.
My aim is to show consistent & accurate colour representation of my products, however, the device you are viewing the artwork on may show this differently. This is because different monitors and devices can display colour differently depending on a screens colour profile and brightness settings.
Please note, that a printed product will generally always look slightly different than on a digital screen.
An art block is a contemporary display method for photographs or artwork. Each image is printed onto quality archival fine art paper then hand handcrafted onto a white edged wooden block.
Blocks can either hang on a wall or stand on a side table/dresser.
PS. They look great hung together as collections!
My art block collections are available in three different sizes. The dimensions are approximate due to inch to centimetre conversion.
- Small - 125mm x 125mm (5” x 5”)
- Medium - 180mm x 180mm (7” x 7”)
- Large - 230mm x 230mm (9" x 9")
The small size is perfect for purchasing as collectibles, hung together in groups on a wall that can be added to as new designs are released. The medium and large sizes look great hung in sets of three or four, or on their own.
* Custom sizes may be available and will be priced on request. Send me an email HERE.
All fine art prints and art blocks are made to order. This is to avoid any damage to the prints and art block prints that may occur when being stored. This ensures the product you receive is of the highest quality.
